In a pot, I melted lard and sautéed finely chopped onion until golden. On a cutting board, I chopped the cabbage into smaller pieces and added it to the pot. I briefly sautéed it while stirring constantly. Then I added about 1dl of water, salted it, seasoned it, and covered it. I simmered it until tender with occasional stirring.
While the cabbage was simmering, I boiled the cabbage rolls in salted water. Once cooked and drained, I prepared them in a bowl. I set aside the simmered cabbage. Just before finishing, I melted butter.
When everything was ready, I combined the cabbage rolls with the cabbage, drizzled them with melted butter, and mixed everything well. Personally, I really like to lightly season them with black pepper before serving. So I served them, lightly seasoned, and enjoyed every bite. Good taste to you too :)
