I deeply bow to all grandmothers and women who did not know the convenience of modern times, without which we can no longer imagine today's household... the water tap. And yet they managed to excel in the kitchen.

Recap of ingredients

500g of pre-cooked peeled potatoes, 150g coarse flour, 50g semolina, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of salt, and additionally about 600g of smoked meat (diced).

2

Grate the potatoes finely, add egg, salt, flour, and semolina, and process into a smooth non-sticky dough. If needed, add a bit more flour. Work quickly, potato dough tends to become sticky with prolonged standing! Roll out a thick snake, cut into slices, flatten each one individually on a lightly floured work surface, put about a spoonful of smoked meat in the center of each slice, and wrap it like a dumpling. Seal tightly and shape in your palms.

3

Drop into boiling salted water and immediately lift from the bottom with a spoon to prevent sticking to the pot. Cook for about 15-20 minutes. Remove when done with a slotted spoon or colander and place in a bowl. Let them cool slightly to prevent cracking.

They are most delicious in the company of braised white cabbage and sautéed onions. And when it took so much effort already, 'eat like crazy'. And boys too, they know how to... :)))
