Peel and slice the potatoes into slices about 0.5 cm thick, layer them in a greased baking dish in two layers, season with salt, pepper, and spices according to taste (I, for example, use cumin, dried garlic, or grilling spices), then sprinkle a bag of frozen vegetables (I happily use a spring mix), season with salt, layer potatoes again, season with salt and spices again, cover and bake in the oven until half-cooked. Then pour in cream (I use a whole cup and sometimes a little more) and bake uncovered until golden brown, the cream will partially 'soak' into the potatoes during baking, but some will remain in the form of excellent gravy.
