I make neck when I want the whole kitchen to smell after a hearty homemade lunch. The meat is tender, juicy, and the sauce - thick, dark, and full of flavor - is exactly what everyone will love. Rice goes beautifully with it, but it is also excellent with dumplings or mashed potatoes.

Linda's tip
If you want the sauce to have a slightly caramelized flavor, add a spoonful of sugar to the onion - let it caramelize a bit. And at the end, you can strain it for a smoother consistency.
Tip
Tip: Pork neck is excellent even the next day – it absorbs the flavor of the sauce even more. Try serving it with cucumber salad or fresh vegetables to balance the rich taste of the meat.
