Meat

Wash the chicken breasts, pat them dry, make shallow cuts in them (like "pockets"), and season with salt. Brush with olive oil, season with spices, garlic, and dried basil.

Filling

Place slices of tomatoes and mozzarella into the cuts. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar (if using) and transfer to a baking dish.

Baking

Bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 25 minutes, until the meat is tender and the cheese is nicely melted.

Serve with rice, fries, or fresh salad. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
