I always cook this dish when I want to create that 'Sunday' atmosphere at home without standing by the stove all morning. The pea sauce has a delicate, sweet taste and pairs perfectly with tender pork meat. Kids love it and my wife always asks for seconds - maybe because it tastes just as good the next day. :)

1

Cut the meat into pieces, season with salt and pepper. Sear it in a hot pan or pot with oil until browned. Set it aside.

2

Sauté finely chopped onion until golden brown. Add flour, stir, and pour in broth. Let it simmer briefly.

3

Add peas and seared meat. Simmer for about 25 minutes until the meat is tender and the peas are cooked.

4

Add cream, season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens.

5

Best served with homemade mashed potatoes, but also delicious with rice or fresh bread.
