After a heavy rain, all sorts of pests invaded my garden, so I took it upon myself to defend it by all available means. I prepared everything I needed for today's lunch in the kitchen early in the morning and off to the garden to show them who's the boss. :D

Instructions

1

Clean the meat, season with salt and pepper on both sides, drizzle with oil, layer nicely in a ceramic or glass dish, cover with a lid and let sit overnight.

2

Then cut each piece of meat into 4 pieces and wrap each piece individually in a slice of English bacon.

3

Arrange the finished 'sparrows' next to each other in a baking dish or small roasting pan, pour over a mixture of broth and soy sauce, cover with a lid and simmer for 30 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees.

4

Then uncover, thicken the sauce with a roux, mix well, return everything back to the oven and bake until golden brown.
