Sauce

Heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped garlic and sauté. Then add tomato puree, bay leaf, black pepper, dill, and cover with a lid. Simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat and season to taste.

Meat

Finely chop onions, add pressed garlic, soaked bread in milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly with minced meat. Shape small meatballs about 4 cm.

Pour the tomato sauce into a baking dish and place the meatballs in it so they are completely covered with the sauce. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Bake the meatballs for 15 minutes. Then remove, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake for another 10 minutes, but reduce the temperature to 180°C.
