Instructions

1

Boil diced potatoes in salted water and make a classic mash out of them. Cut pork meat and onion into smaller cubes. In a deep pan, sauté the onion in oil, add the meat and fry vigorously for about 3 minutes. Add salt and black ground pepper. While stirring constantly, sauté, reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Then uncover and sauté for about 4 minutes until the excess juice evaporates.

Step 1
2

Divide the puff pastry into 4 parts. Roll out each evenly into a rectangle shape. Cut a slit on the narrow edges. Place 2 - 3 tablespoons of mashed potatoes in the center of the pastry, then add the meat and diced pickles. Wrap the pastry from each side so that the slit is in the middle. Shape the boat by slightly stretching the sides. Sprinkle grated hard cheese on the top where the meat is located.

Step 2
3

Arrange the prepared boats on a sufficiently large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, placing parchment paper between each boat to prevent them from sticking together.

Step 3
4

Brush each boat with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes. The baked boats can be served, for example, with a vegetable salad.
