1 pcs Puff Pastry
150 g Brick Cheese (Eidam)
or processed
1 pcs Chicken egg
All-purpose flour
for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the ingredients.

Gently slice the sausages lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Slightly open them up so you can fill them with cheese. Use hard cheese grated on the coarse side of a grater or spreadable cheese, cut into strips. Fill the sausages.

Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into strips about 2 - 3cm wide.

Wrap the prepared sausages with the pastry strips in a way that the end of the pastry is always on the bottom side to prevent unwrapping during baking. Place the finished wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased with oil, and brush them with beaten egg.
