It's my turn :) to cook a Sunday lunch and its part is also pork shoulder on vegetables with tarhoňa. Honestly, I felt like having something with tarhoňa, so schnitzels were out of the question. My (almost) three-year-old daughter was licking her lips hehe

Instructions

1

Finely chop the onion and let it glassify with a bit of oil.

Step 1
2

Add diced pork shoulder and let it simmer (of course, you can use other pork). Stir occasionally and let the meat simmer.

Step 2
3

Add salt, black pepper, and sweet paprika - since my daughter will also eat lunch, I used sweet. Then mix well to evenly coat everything.

Step 3

When everything is nicely prepared... we can add water. Not even 1cm above the meat. Cover and simmer for about half an hour. If it's necessary to add water, do so. Now I added a canned vegetable mix. You can use whatever you have on hand. I had that can. At the end (when the meat was tender) I added a pinch of salt and paprika.

Meanwhile, I put tarhoňa separately in a pot with about half a deciliter of oil (maybe a drop more). On low heat (my induction went to 6) we watch it and stir thoroughly every half a minute. When part of the tarhoňa darkens, we are ready :) Add hot water 1 cm above. So it's evenly covered. Add 3/4 tbsp of salt and mix. From this moment on, we don't touch it and let it simmer under a lid on low heat for about 10-12 minutes. I had the induction on 4.
