Chicken Thighs with Chicken Meat and Tomato Sauce

Cook the chicken thighs in salted water al dente and drain.
Heat olive oil in a pan, add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
Add crushed garlic and diced chicken meat. Cook until the meat is sealed.
Add tomato puree, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Finally, add the drained chicken thighs, mix well, let everything combine nicely.
Serve sprinkled with cheese and a few fresh basil leaves.
Linda's tip
If you want the sauce to be smoother, add a tablespoon of cream. And if you like freshness, at the end, liven it up with a few drops of lemon juice - it will beautifully scent the whole kitchen.
