Zucchini Croquettes with Mashed Potatoes

Approx. 300g zucchini (young fruits not peeled and grated with skin, older ones peeled and rid of hard skin), 100g hard cheese (finely grated), 1 egg, 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs, 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, 3 cloves of garlic (pressed) and additionally egg, breadcrumbs and flour for coating.
Grate the zucchini with skin on a fine grater, let it 'drain' and then squeeze out the excess liquid. Add grated cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, egg, flour, and breadcrumbs and mix everything thoroughly by hand. If necessary, slightly thicken with breadcrumbs, the dough is soft, but should hold its shape. Immediately shape small balls, patties, or cylinders, it all depends entirely on your imagination, coat in breadcrumbs and fry in a deep layer of oil from all sides until golden brown.
Let the finished croquettes drain on a paper towel and serve immediately.
