I really like this recipe during the winter months when I crave something lighter but still hearty. Frozen fish fillet can be surprisingly tasty when prepared with a bit of patience and love. Butter, lemon, and herbs give it a freshness that the whole family will love. And the best part is that you have the whole meal ready in a few minutes - just what we busy moms need.

Instructions

1

Thaw the fillet and pat it dry with a paper towel. Then lightly salt, season, and coat it in flour.

2

Heat butter with olive oil in a pan, add crushed garlic, and let it sauté briefly.

3

Fry the fillet on both sides until golden brown - about 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on thickness.

4

When the fish is just right, drizzle it with fresh lemon juice and garnish with lemon slices and parsley.

5

Serve with homemade potato salad, which you can also find on my profile - it goes perfectly with the fish.

Linduška's tip

Sometimes I crave a slightly spicier version - then I add a bit of paprika or a pinch of chili powder to the flour. But if kids are also eating, feel free to skip this part.

Tip

Tip: The recipe is ideal for a quick family lunch or on a Sunday when you want something lighter and fresher. If you prepare it with wine, I recommend a semi-dry white, such as Riesling or Grüner Veltliner – it beautifully enhances the flavor of the fish and butter.
